Our Philosophy: Welcome Post
This is a synthesis of our core philosophy
"We're the middle children of history man, no purpose or place. We have no Great War, no Great Depression. Our great war is a spiritual war & our great depression is our lives. We've all been raised by television to believe that one day we'd all be millionaires and movie gods and rock stars, but we won't, and we're slowly learning that fact-and we're very, very pissed off."
- Tyler Durden (Fight Club)
Introduction:
What is your ideal life? Think about that for a second. Forget all the obstacles & burdens holding you back from manifesting this utopia; just visualize it. Hold on to that image for a moment & let's see if any of the following can describe your ideal life accurately:
Is it a life where you have an abundance of money & fame?
Maybe a life where you can prioritize philosophy/ spirituality & enjoy nature?
Do you just want to focus on your craft & derive fulfillment from pursuing your passion?
Or do you want to spend more time with your family & prioritize your relationships?
Each individual on this planet has a different definition of an ideal life. Although society has tried to convince us that the perfect life is synonymous with stability & social acceptance (status), we know what we truly desire deep down.
Without taking risks & allowing yourself to grow through discomfort, there is no fulfillment. You've probably heard of Maslow's hierarchy of needs & the three eternal domains of life (health, wealth, & relationships).
I've taken these concepts & synthesized them to increase applicability. I believe that there are three pillars to an "ideal life":
Mental Mastery
Physical training
Online business
These three pillars + consistency are the secrets to living a great life. The "ideal life" = consistent development in the domains mentioned above.
Mental Mastery:
First & foremost, mental mastery is the most critical domain of your life. If your life were a business, your mind would be the CEO.
The degree to which you've mastered your mind directly indicates your quality of life. Your mind is what allows you to perceive things as positive or negative. It's the engine behind your thoughts & actions.
Every memory or experience you've had to this day is merely a perception that your mind has conjured up through the inputs received by your five senses. Such a powerful tool can be used against you or by you.
We can develop our minds by exposing them to new information that challenges our current perceptions & beliefs. Self-education is the key, but remember to allow your curiosities to lead the way.
Physical Training:
Next up: Physical training. Your body is the vessel, a temple for your mind. Like Socrates said, "It is a shame for a man/woman to grow old without seeing the beauty & strength which his/her body is capable of."
I don't just mean going to the gym & lifting weights. I'm talking about functional training, martial arts, running, etc. Like the mind, the body must also be trained in diverse activities to unleash its true potential.
Online Business:
Last but not least, online business. You've heard of various business models on YouTube: SMMA, dropshipping, SaaS, etc.
Those are all viable models, but the most authentic & meaningful business model is becoming a value creator. The internet has changed the way commerce is done forever.
The constantly evolving tactics are brutal to keep up with, which is why I suggest following the evergreen principles. If you provide enough value to someone, they will reciprocate (whether it's in terms of money or attention).
By understanding this principle, you can finally begin to leverage the digital economy: If you solve the problems you're most passionate about & "sell" it to someone facing the same problem, they will pay you.
The goal with online business is to create leverage through media & code so that you don't have to trade your time directly for money. This allows you to sustain yourself while you pursue mental & physical development.
The balance between these three things will change occasionally. Sometimes, you have to answer a higher call & go through periods of intense development in specific domains. With that being said, here's a graphic representation of my philosophy:
Actionable Step:
Try incorporating three habits into your everyday life. One that generates money, ex. Copywriting, marketing, sales, coding, funnel-building, web dev, etc. One that improves your health ex. Lifting weights, eating healthy, 10k steps, learning a new sport, etc. One that sharpens your mind, ex. Studying philosophy, psychology, mathematics, logic, science, etc.
The goal of this weekly newsletter is to share the datasets I obtain on my journey to becoming multidimensionally jacked & inspire you to get one step closer to realizing your true potential. Strive to become a specialized generalist. Don't focus on the dots; focus on the lines that connect the dots.
